Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Zappfresh Duck Curry Cut

  • 0.25 tsp (For Marination) Turmeric Powder

  • 2 tsp (For Marination) Red Chili Powder

  • 2 tsp (For Marination) Coriander Powder

  • 1 tsp (or as per taste) Salt

  • 0.25 cup (For Gravy) Small Red Onions

  • 3 nos (For Gravy) Dried Whole Red Chili (broken into 2 pieces)

  • 1 tsp (For Gravy) Mustard Seed

  • 6 nos (For Gravy) Curry Leaves

  • 8 nos (For Gravy) Green Chilies (slit lengthwise)

  • 2 Tbs. (For Gravy) Coconut Oil

  • 1 tsp (For Gravy) Ghee

  • 1 nos (For Gravy) Large Onion (finely sliced)

  • 1 nos (For Gravy) Medium Tomato (sliced)

  • 1 Tbs. (For Gravy) Chopped Ginger

  • 1 Tbs. (For Gravy) Chopped Garlic

  • 2 cup (For Gravy) Semi Thick Coconut Milk

  • 1 cup (For Gravy) Thick Coconut Milk

  • 0.5 tsp (For Gravy) Turmeric Powder

  • 2 tsp (For Gravy) Coriander Powder

  • 1 tsp (For Gravy) Red chili powder

  • 3 tsp (For Gravy) Garam Masala Powder

There is something mystical about this curry, the aroma awakens your senses which in turn fires the appetite and it is hard for the taste buds to resist the temptation of this mouth-watering duck curry. It is a spicy and tangy sauce with the flavor of coconut milk and has a lot of gravy so it is perfect curry for gravy lovers. It goes well with Rice and tastes best when cooked by using Zappfresh Duck Curry Cut.

Unwrap your scrumptious Zappfresh Duck Curry Cut. Wash well and soak them in a little salt and turmeric powder for a couple of minutes and squeeze out the excess water and drain it. Marinate the cleaned duck pieces with the ingredients given in ” To Marinate ” for at least 30 minutes. Heat a pan or in a pressure cooker, pour coconut oil and ghee. Add mustard seeds and when it starts to splutter, add sliced shallots, curry leaves, dried red chilly, chopped ginger, garlic and saute for a couple of minutes. Add chopped onion, green chilies, tomatoes; saute till onions turn translucent and light brown color. Add the marinated duck pieces, salt to taste, cover the pan and cook over low heat for 30-45 minutes till duck is half done or if your using pressure cooker, close the cooker and pressure cook until you hear about 5-6 whistles on high heat. Mix turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala into the thin coconut milk (2nd extract/Randaampal) and mix well. Pour in spiced coconut milk into half-cooked duck and adjust the salt. Lower heat and simmer gently till duck is cooked and gravy has thickened. Open and add the thick coconut milk (1st extract/Thanipaal) and stir gently. Cover and cook for another 2 mins and remove from the heat. Serve hot with Rice
